Forwarding to Tirza when you're with EE

You don't need to install anything. You tap one code into your phone and you're done.

What you need

  • Your mobile (the one you use for work)
  • The phone number Tirza has given you (it's in your welcome email and on your dashboard under "Your Tirza number")

Write that Tirza number down or copy it. You'll need it in a moment.

Step 1 — Choose how to forward

There are two flavours. Pick one:

Forward everything (recommended at the start) Every caller goes straight to Tirza. You won't be interrupted. Nice when you're just starting out and want to try it.

Only forward when you don't pick up or are busy (recommended after that) Your phone rings first. If you don't answer, or you're already on a call, Tirza takes over. This is called "conditional forwarding" and is usually what you want.

Step 2 — Tap in the code

Open the dialler on your phone (as if you were about to ring someone) and tap in the code. Then press the green call button.

Forward everything to Tirza:

**21*[tirza-number]#

Example: **21*0201234567#

Only when you don't pick up or are busy:

**61*[tirza-number]*11*30#

The 30 at the end means: after 30 seconds. Want Tirza to pick up sooner, make it 20.

Step 3 — Check it's working

Your phone shows a short message: "Forwarding active" or something along those lines. Done.

To be really sure: do a test call. Grab another phone (your partner's, a sibling's, a client's), call your own number and let it ring. Tirza picks up.

Turning forwarding off again

Want to stop using Tirza for a bit? Tap in:

##21#

or for conditional:

##61#

That turns it off. Simple.

It's not working — what now?

"Code not recognised" Check that you actually typed two asterisks at the start (**21*, not *21*). That's the most common slip.

"Forwarding turned off by network" KPN sometimes clears forwarding when your bundle changes. Just tap the code in again.

"I have a KPN business subscription" On some business bundles, KPN needs to enable "voicemail/forwarding" first. Call KPN Business (0800-0403) and say: "Can you switch call forwarding on for my number?" Takes 2 minutes on the phone.

Still stuck? Email hello@tirza.ai with your network and what's happening. We'll help you within a couple of hours.
